You may have had concerns about you or a loved one’s cognitive, emotional, behavioral, or social functioning or someone may have recommended a “neuropsychological evaluation.” Consider a free 15-minute phone consultation with a board-certified neuropsychologist to learn more about what is involved. If we decide an evaluation is needed, a formal consultation is scheduled and completed ($300), which potentially involves a recommendation for testing.
Comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations involve assessment of multiple areas of functioning. Cognitively, these evaluations assess intellectual abilities, language, visual-spatial skills, attention, executive functioning, memory, learning, academic achievement, and fine motor skills. They also assess an individual’s social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
Following the initial consultation, which can be done via telehealth, comprehensive evaluations typically involve 5-7 hours of testing, as well as a same-day patient interview, scoring, interpretation, a feedback, and an individualized report with detailed recommendations. Collaboration with educators and providers is also included. After the initial consultation and fee, the evaluation costs $4500.
